(1) JIT Training – In under 3 hours, prepare your staff and organization to continue providing services to clients.
SF CARD has developed a coronavirus response training for agencies looking for support and advice on how to improve their current organizational response to the pandemic. Working with leadership and key frontline staff, SF CARD will help your organization get better prepared to combat the incident by developing and implementing a plan for the well-being and safety of your staff and clients, advice and tools to manage your organization on a daily basis with limited services and help maintain the long-term viability of your organization.
Who Should Participate: Staff from the following departments: board leadership, management, operations, line-staff, and finance.
By attending the training, the following objectives will be achieved:
Participants will engage in a threat assessment to their clients, staff and agency operations with a focus on threats likely to occur during a pandemic.
Using a template provided by SF CARD participants will learn the key elements of a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP).
Participants will outline 3 key elements of a COOP, including a disaster mission statement, issues around working remotely and impacts on clients, staff and agency systems.
Cost of the JIT training: SF CARD will conduct the 3-hour training and after the training, will provide organizational technical assistance and support. The value of this training and support services is $3,000. Organizations can schedule immediately regardless of their current financial position and can pay what they can afford.
(2) Operational Techincal Assistance – Invite SF CARD staff into your daily leadership meetings and receive (virtual) hands-on support. SF CARD staff will observe your daily management meetings and offer guidance to sharpen your organization’s effectiveness. In real-time, SF CARD staff will answer any questions, give suggestions and tips, and offer tools and templates.
By using this service, the following objectives will be achieved:

SF CARD will support your organization’s response by helping your agency remain connected with other nonprofits organizations and government agencies in case resources and funding is needed.
Cost of operational technical assistance: SF CARD will assign a staff person to observe your daily management meetings for up to 5 meetings. The value of this service is $2,000. Organizations can schedule immediately regardless of their current financial position and can pay what they can afford.
